Information about survey optimization and boosting response rates

Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about survey optimization and increasing response rates. Can’t find the answer to your question? Please contact us directly so we can help you as quickly as possible.

There are several tips & tricks to increase the number of responses from members:

  • Tell members that you are collecting feedback.
For example, during onboarding, in a newsletter, at the front desk, on screens or via your social media. Make it clear that you regularly send short questions to hear what members think.
  • Briefly explain why you are asking for feedback.
Members are more likely to respond if they know what you do with it. For example:
“We use your feedback to improve our sports offerings and strengthen our communication.”
  • Show that you take action based on the results.
For example, share an update: “We received a lot of feedback about the busy Tuesday evening. That’s why we scheduled an extra class.” This builds trust and motivates members to participate again next time.
  • Involve your team.
Trainers, instructors, and front desk staff can briefly mention the survey to members: “You will soon receive an email with three short questions. We’d love it if you let us know what you think.”

In short: make it visible that you are asking for feedback, explain why, and show what you do with it. This makes members more active and engaged.
